At Strive Speech Pathology, we provide personalised support to help children develop the skills they need to communicate, connect, learn and participate with confidence.

Strive Speech Pathology was established with the goal of making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. We believe meaningful therapy begins with connection. It is about building a strong, trusting relationship where children feel safe, supported and motivated to learn.

As a mobile speech pathology practice, sessions are provided in the environments that are meaningful to each child, including homes, schools, kindergartens and childcare settings. This allows therapy to be practical, functional and connected to everyday life. We work collaboratively with families, educators and other important people in a child's life to support meaningful progress across the environments where children live, learn and play.

Every child is different. Therapy is tailored to each child's individual strengths, interests, needs and goals, with a focus on building skills that are meaningful and relevant to them.

Meet Julia - Speech Pathologist & Founder of Strive Speech Pathology

Strive Speech Pathology was founded by Julia Merola, a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting children to communicate, connect and participate with confidence.

Julia works with children across the areas of speech, language, literacy and social communication. She has experience supporting children with a range of communication and learning needs, including children who are neurodivergent.

What Julia loves most about paediatric speech pathology is getting to know each child as an individual. She believes that the strongest progress happens when children feel safe, understood and genuinely connected to the person supporting them. Building relationships, discovering what motivates each child and celebrating the small moments of progress are at the heart of her approach.

Julia's practice is family-centred, strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming. She takes the time to understand each child's strengths, interests, communication style and goals, creating therapy that is engaging, purposeful and relevant to everyday life. She works collaboratively with families, educators and the important people in a child's life to support communication and participation across the environments where children live, learn and play.

Above all, Julia is passionate about creating a space where children feel valued, supported and encouraged to grow. She believes every child deserves to feel heard and understood, and that with the right support, meaningful connections and opportunities to succeed, children can thrive.
